Database Connectors
CanvaDB connects directly to your databases to pull live schema — no data ever leaves your database unless you explicitly run a migration. Credentials are AES-256-GCM encrypted before storage.
Supported connectors
Document database. Connects via the MongoDB Node.js driver — pulls collections and schema structure from your Atlas cluster or self-hosted instance.
Relational database. Uses the pg client to introspect information_schema, pull table and column metadata, and execute live queries.
Relational database. Uses the mysql2 client to introspect INFORMATION_SCHEMA.COLUMNS and execute queries. MariaDB 10.3+ is also supported.
Microsoft SQL Server and Azure SQL Database. Connection testing and basic schema introspection are supported. Full migration pipelines are in development.
AWS DynamoDB key-value and document store. Table listing works today. Full schema introspection and query execution are in active development.
